The Yoga Studio

Restoring an old granary into a yoga studio was a labor of love. Each step of the project revealed another challenge. Just like learning a yoga pose, creating this space allowed me to uncover and observe my strengths and weaknesses, and learn more than I ever wanted to about right angles and patience!
My husband, Dan, and I have always known that this old farmstead had healing powers. Often after a visit, people remark that they feel peaceful and refreshed. We hope that you have a chance to experience the beauty and grace of what we affectionately call,
"The Farm." As Dan says, "No one visits The Farm once...see you again."
Om shanti,
Lucy

The Gardens

We reside on the stolen and colonized land of the Očhéthi Šakówiŋ (The People of the Seven Council Fires), and the ancestral land of the Wahpekute. The treaties with the native people of this area, as in most areas, were not upheld.
We are passionate about the Earth and make every effort to honor Her, and treat Her with respect and gratitude. We make every effort to use organic and eco-sustainable methods, and only introduce plants that are native to this land.
Each time you visit Red Twig, you will find new gardens filled with native species, rocks, and found art. The moment you step out of your vehicle, you will take in breath-taking views of lush marshland. Eagles, Hawks, Cranes, Herons, Egrets, Deer, Beaver, Fox, Coyote, and the occasional Black Bear, are just a few of the creatures that we commune with.
This land is not ours, we are visitors here, and blessed to have the opportunity.
